The River House is a weekend retreat for a Brooklyn based family, situated atop a ridge along the banks of the Roeliff Jansen Kill River. The arrangement of the house responds to the terrain and the bend in the river to maximize views up and downstream. Living and outdoor spaces have a dramatic overlook.

A palette of black stained wood plank clads the exterior, with rift white oak and stone creating warm living spaces for the winter months.
